There are always Options or Preferences in MS and other software.
In Firefox Options are found in the Tools menu. When the dialog opens click the Tab, tab and choose if you want a new window to open or new tab to open when you clicks links in a web site. In the Content tab you can check or uncheck the pop up blocker. In the Security tab you may need to look at the Tell me lines. The back arrow is green in FF and the forward arrow grey. Beside the forward arrow is a drop arrow that will give you a list of pages visited on that site and if you click one it takes you there.
