I don't think I have a modem on that machine, but I could not check
now since when I switched to that machine it wanted to restart to
install updates. I will check later, although I doubt not only whether
there's a modem, I certainly don't use it since I have broadband. But
I don't think that a modem would be considered a sound device by the
bios.
