Yeah, it seems that the storm fried something in that port.  It used to 
happen all the time with old modems.  You're actually lucky the entire 
router didn't die.
You 'did' try resetting the router, right?  Turn it off for at least 30 
seconds - maybe even unplug its power cord - and then turn back on.
