Actually typing in just yahoo to the address bar will bring up yahoo, because
the developers of yahoo designed it so that any one looking for that search
engine can get it no matter how skilled they are at the computer. For instance
a 7 year old needing to look up info for school.

But for any oher address you are looking for has to be typed in full such as
www.wired.com. If I do not type it in like that then it will give me a search
engine that will have possible matches.

Teddy although Ray gave you an answer perhaps a full explanation
about web

addresses called URLs may help you and others.

http is the language for web addressees.

All web browsers like Internet Explorer complete web addresses you type in

so that if you just type yahoo.com the browser will put http://www.yahoo

com

If however you type in just yahoo.com the browser will use a search engine

to give you a list of options.

Using Firefox, the homepage for one user of my laptop shows as http://m.www

yahoo.com.The other user account however shows www.yahoo.com. The appearance

is very different. I have tried to reset to www.yahoo.combut am unsuccessful

Is this a valid yahoo page. If not, how can I reset? Thank you.
