Oh dear you need a lesson I see.

IE and FF save histories and if you go to yahoo so often it fills in the
address bar and takes you there, just like starting an address in OE message
it completes it for you from the address book .

The Yahoo site has a search box like most sites, It will search the yahoo
site or the www just as you choose.

Google on the other hand is a dedicated search engine with its own huge data
base but these days Google has expanded into a provider of programs and many
other avenues.

so why can I search for things like google. if it is not a search engine. 
Also when I type Y into the address bar of mozilla and IE and hit send it
goes to yahoo.
