Well, I was at one time looking into a good deal with cell phone & internet
combination. But then I tabled that for the time being. T-Mobile offers a
pretty good deal as I could figure it out.

Actually, if you're in a wifi city (like Canandaigua or Geneva) you
CAN tap into it while in the car. In fact, if you're willing to spend a bit
more, you don't even need to worry about being in a wifi zone. Some cell
companies have broadband access cards, that work kinda like a cell phone- but
for internet. With these, as long as you're somewhere it can get a signal
(basically, if your cell can get a good signal, your comp is probably happy
too!)

Here are the links to the Verizon ones we've been debating getting for our
laptop.

Probably no benefit in a car. There are places that have what they

call WiFi, unfortunately I don't know much about them. I am retired

and don't go places where I would need a laptop/notebook. In fact I

don't like them because none that I have seen has an ergonomic kbd.

The kind that have a sort of curved set of keys. I have big and

somewhat clumsy hands and I have enough trouble typing accurately on

the ergonomic, let alone a normal keyboard.
