Thanks for the reply---sorry to take so long to answer but we've been out of town. Yes, I can print from Wordpad. In fact, I can print in every way (as far as I know) EXCEPT the way I've always been able to----by going to FILE and then selecting PRINT. Whatever we recently did prevents me from doing that now. When I click on PRINT, I'm back to the desktop--everything closes. I've been using Word to write and then printing from PRINT PREVIEW. Using Wordpad, I can't edit something that I've copied there from another source (I think that's right--can't be sure of my memory of it). Just doesn't allow me to do all that I can do in Word. We've removed and re-installed Windows. Seems to me it must have something to do with Vista, but it's far beyond my computer knowledge. Any ideas?
