Stan ion Vista it is always best to turn off the User Control via the Start Control Panel/users accounts because this can stop you doing so much.
Wordpad is a cut down sort of writing instrument and will seldom if ever open another programs file. It is not Vista Windows you need to concern yourself with but the program the has Word with it. Do you therefore have MS Office Suite? Yes, I can print from Wordpad. In fact, I can print in every way (as far as I know) EXCEPT the way I've always been able to----by going to FILE and then selecting PRINT. Whatever we recently did prevents me from doing that now. When I click on PRINT, I'm back to the desktop--everything closes. I've been using Word to write and then printing from PRINT PREVIEW. Using Wordpad, I can't edit something that I've copied there from another source (I think that's right--can't be sure of my memory of it). Just doesn't allow me to do all that I can do in Word. We've removed and re-installed Windows. Seems to me it must have something to do with Vista, but it's far beyond my computer knowledge.
