added new ram, computer cuts off while or after booting up?
I will put the old ram in to see if it operates normally.
Anything I can do to get the ram to work, my specs say I can take the
4 gigs of ram with my ecs GF7050vt-m v1.0 motherboard. Tiger direct
said they sent me the proper upgrade, Patriot DDR2 667 2 gig strips.
ON same computer, I will put the old i gig of ram back in the puter,
usb cable modem under device manager has a yellow question mark, also
the entry in device mgr is under "other devices" which also has a
yellow question mark.
Search for new drivers came up empty, should I worry obout this and
search for a new driver on the internet or just let it be?
Under usb cable modem properties details they have the following
listed:
usb\vid_0332&pid_6098\001F3A73554F
I am using time warner road runner cable modem and am running my old
computer as well as this new computer off the cable modem for internet
access.
both computers run reasonably well thought, my new one seems to take a
few seconds to open up new screens sometimes. I just went from one
gig to 4 gigs or ram on the new machine so hopefully I will see some
performance pickup.
