Hmm, tried reversing old ram as I did the new ram, even tried starting in safe mode as it defaulted to that screen, still aborted the boot up.
I will try just one strip of the new only. That will be 2 gigs doubling my old two 512 combo. If that doesn't wk, will try just one 512 strip. Real nice wx in NC, so I am off first to take the cocker spaniel to the dogpark and then to the rc field. Good thing I left the old computer hooked up, darn old p2 350 mhz, 384 ram hanging in there! The new system with the ram prob is xp svc pact 3, so maybe it won't take 4 gig? Motherboard says it will but maybe not the operating system. Will tigerdirct take it back if I should decide to send it back? --- In [email protected], jpurcell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Joe, > > > Just put old ram back in, and same thing, cuts off during boot up, I > > will reverse the old ram, to see if that helps.
