I have an older box running Win2000 Pro-SP4 which currently has an 800 AMD Duron Processor. Due to some proprietary, special software I am not able to update to XP, so I am locked into this box. I would like to update the processor to the max, which is a 1.2 gig CPU. I am told its a Thunderbird something, with a 100mHz front side bus, Socket A. Can anyone tell me where I might find one, used is fine, that I can afford? Thanks for any insight anyone might have. As you might surmise, Computers are not my bailiwick.
