I think (and I'll remain cautiously optimistic for now on this one) that the
suggestion you made to change the indexing Options actually did work.
 
I notice now that under the History section of the browser there isn't a
whole lot there, and under favorites the menu seems to be alphabetized
in reverse order and only gets into the W's when expanded.
 
By the way, I did visit the Microsoft site and followed their suggestion,
which was to type
 
inetcpl.cpl
 
into the Search box, then hit Enter, then to go to the >> Tools >> General
>> Delete >> select Cookies .. select Delete
 
sequence though, as might have been expected, it didn't do anything.

I am sorry that it didn't work for you but I haven't had a problem, I use it 
once a week. However, you have 2 more options that I sent to you for this 
issue. 

Remember the mention of "Indexing Options" located in your Control Panel and 
the 

ever popular CCleaner.
