moms comp got really slow and kept saying there was viruses, used online virus scanner because avast couldnt delete it after it found it. used norton after avast, same thing. i couldnt get it removed so she uses my Ultimate Boot CD and writes 0s to the whole hard drive.
she tries to reinstall xp and gets it done, then she tries to install her drivers and it says its part of a disk set and it needs to have the 2nd disk now. It was downloaded from dell.com and it worked fine last time. I thought it went corrupted, went and redownloaded it and it says the same thing. Downloaded it at driverguide.com and it does same thing there. i have another dell dimension 3000 that i have for a backup with everything the same, and it installs just fine on it. What would be causing her computer to say its part of a disk set when its downloaded and it works fine on my backup computer but wont work on hers? it is the same network card. ANYONE KNOW WHY IT WONT WORK AND SAYS ITS PART OF A MULTIPLE DISK SET?. ------------------------------------ If you have any questions or problems with any aspect of this site, please feel free to contact me directly [email protected] Please do not post personal issues directly to the group.
