Ha - I just read this.  It's amazing how cheap flash drives have 
gotten!  And you can buy an external USB 500GB hard drive for as little 
as $60 or $70.
Now that you've deleted a lot of files see how the pc runs.  Maybe the 
problem was being caused by a shortage of Hard Drive space?
