Wow.  What makes you think it's the resistors?  Are you hearing pops or 
snaps?  And do you smell any smoke?
I do know that room temp can def cause a PC to run hotter.  But if your 
resistors or capacitors are really blowing up... I wouldn't think you'd 
still be able to boot up.  Plus, they'd soon be starting to smoke and 
eventually burst into flame.
