There are several reasons for wanting the 'slider' style:

1. I have Epilepsy and the 'touchscreen' of cell phones' like the IPhone
requires even greater eye-hand coordination. The 'slider' phones' allow
me to operate them with one hand. I used to have one of the 'flip'
phones'. Which due to the acute need for eye-hand coordination, I
dropped several times, despite using two hands.
2. Since I am an avid cyclist, the case of the 'slider' phones' protects
the keypad when I have to put my cell phone in my hippack before I go
out on the road.

I have no interest in the Android phones.
