Another nuisance of the factory restore option is the chore of getting rid
of much of the 'bloatware' that comes with a new computer (all the 'free'
offers and trial software).  For me, that alone renders the factory restore
a last resort.  Having said that, it is still a viable solution to the
worst of our problems.
