If the MIDI is an accompaniment, I would appreciate it if it played 17
bars of rest. But of course not if I just want to hear what happens in
the music ;-)

I like to have the empty bars in the aligned case, but when I extract
just one voice I want "cropped" rests. Save the trees.

Seems to be a quite useful thing. Additionally I would like to add
!23!x for invisible rests, however I think they should be visible if
only one voice is extracted...
And it must then be illegal to have any notes between !23!z and the
previous barline.
But I still insist to have the possibilty to write
|z8|z8|z8�z8| and get soemthing similar to |!4!z|...

Yeah, but then I won't get a forte *symbol* !?! (which is !f!...)
