That's about what I'd expect. Currently (^)A isn't legal syntax at
all. You could argue that (A) is legal, in the default sense that the
spec doesn't quite say that the start and end of a slur must be on
different notes. In fact, there are a lot of Irish music books that
use this notation, with a little slur-like semicircle under a note
used as an ornament. It'd be nice if this worked. It'd be nice if
both (^G) and (^G) worked.
