Just these days I tried to figure out the meaning of all these .fmt
parameters.
Alltogether I still do not but would like to know the function of the
following parameters: maxshrink, indexfont, writehistory, parskipfac,
lineskipfac, auquality,
An I really would like to understand the mechanism behind those two
strictness parameters.
Here are my clues to some of these parameters which have no written
explanation in your file:
breakeall yes : the continuation characters ("\") are ignored
musicspace : I am not sure but I think if there is a P:field this is the
space between the C:field and the P: field
partsfont : font definition for the content of the P:field
strictness : I got the idea this is about notespacing the relation
between the space a long note takes and the space a short note
takes, but I do not know how this exactly works
sysstaffsep : If more than one staff is used here the space inbetween
the two staffs is set
systemsep : space between two staff systems
My acctual problem with formating are overfull barlines, how can I force
the music tighter together? (not changing the scale or staffwidth) I
hope someone out there knows the answer. and last but not least:Are
there possibilities to change the size, thickness, design of flaggs
beams, dots, noteheads, ... aem ... ALL :o)
