I have tried NoteWorthy and MusicTime and they do a fair job converting
midi to sheet music. The free stuff like midi2abc, midi2mup, midi2ly are
all extremely fragile and rudimentary. I suspect that Sibelius does a
really good job from the description at

It's too bad it costs so much. Maybe we can persuade sibelius to release
the midi -> sheet music algorithm to the public domain. It seems like
such a waste of time for everyone to reinvent the wheel.
