That's true. However... There is a copyright on the specific arrangements of Playford's music listed in the file, where they differ from what Playford published. Since Playford didn't specify tempo, that is one area of arrangement which is specific to this file and not Playford. There is a copyright on the additional text and notes embedded in the file, including historical information anteceding Playford's death. There is a copyright on the compilation as a whole etc...
