Hmmm ...  How many abc programs accept this?   My  copies  of  abc2ps
don't.  They give a warning and display only the first chord.

This doesn't think that I object to this notation.  In fact, I  think
it's a good one.  Maybe I'll implement it in my abc2ps clone. But the
problem will still exist that other programs don't understand it.

Notation like "C(Am)" is probably widely  understood,  in  the  sense
that programs don't object to it, and it gets displayed correctly. An
abc player might always play a C major  chord,  but  that's  a  valid
interpretation.
