You could use "%%staves [1 2 3 4]" instead,
which will place a [ before the staves, though.
We can of course consider to make the semantics of {..}
similar to [...].
I.e: %%staves {1 2 3 4} will print 4 staves with
a { before, while %%staves {(1 2) (3 4)} gives two
staves with two voices each.
Would that be a good suggestion?
