I do have a friend who has made tunes, had them recorded, and received money from the record company by way of licensing them for the recordings. I don't think it went through the MCPS (the relevant UK body), though, I think it was done directly between him and the recording company. Greentrax. BICBW (he's away just now, I can't ask him).
