I'm currently in the process of porting AbiWord to MacOS < X, adding support for it. And MacOS < X is a platform without autoconf, and yes, autoconf would be a real pain to port to MacOS < X. However MacOS X does have autoconf support, but I don't really wish to use it for cross-compilation. But I will use it for MacOS X native port which should be easier than the MacOS < X port. However, the easy fix for this is to provide things preconfigured for these platform. Hub
