Please allow me straighten some things out:
When Gnome 1.4 comes out, it will ship with GTK2 and LibXML2. Glade will
then require LibXML2, IIRC. So there wouldn't be those linker problems that
you're mentioning.
I for one still want to fully support GTK 1.2, though I do like to cut my
fingers on bleeding-edge Gnome :)
However, I do think that the potential for disaster does rise greatly with
the above suggestion.
