Oh, I see what's going on.  The problem is that the package from
abi needs to have a postinstall script.  You can go ahead and remove
the old abiword rpm.  To get abiword to work, you just need to run:

  /usr/sbin/chkfontpath -q -a /usr/share/abisuite/fonts
(change /usr/share/abisuite if necessary)

Time to bug the abi packagers.  :)
