Kevin,

I guess the reason I have not had problems has been because I always get
my updates from Helix or abisource.  For example:

Here is standard office boxes before update:
rpm -qa | grep -i abi
abisuite-0.7.11-0_helix_4

Here is after my update:
rpm -qa | grep -i abi
abisuite-0.7.12-1

Installed without any dependencies issues using  GnomeRPM 09.
