Absolutely. This is the abiword-user list, and you'd get this kind of answer from any of the core developers. The only way to get a different answer is to ask a different question over on the abiword-dev list. For example, we'd respond quite differently over there if someone asked: "Hi. I'm an expert at building user interfaces on FreeDOS, and to show off my talents, I'd like to create the *ultimate* retro port of AbiWord. Where should I start and what kinds of problems am I likely to run into?"
