I've just upgraded from 2000 to 2003 and I'm noticing a significant drop in performance. I have the server backend/workstation frontend setup as recommended to me here a couple of years ago, and I have to say that it's made a world of difference, so retroactive thanks for that. But mods that used to take seconds are now taking much longer. For example, on opening a report in design mode it takes quite a few seconds for the properties box to be populated, whereas under 2000 it was virtually instant. I've copied the database in question onto my C drive to make sure it isn't a network issue, but that made no difference. Is there anything obvious I could look at, or is 2003 just slower than 2000? Cheers Cathy
ps the users have noticed a difference too, so it's not just a development issue. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Fair play? Video games influencing politics.
