FWIW, it was made years ago and by several developers (which I point out
simply because this isn't something I just decided for this new mapping
which we could turn around and change in order to be closely synced).

As long as Alex agrees, then you are correct regarding it being purely
academic for me. :)

As I believe you are aware, changes made in Gecko's accessibility
support to address things Windows users need have historically had a
tendency to creep into my platform introducing regressions, requiring
workarounds being added to Orca, and making Gecko less and less similar
to the other implementations on my platform.
