Hi friend, Just to share in continuation in what Nidhi has just shared.
In a cell type 1 and select the cells by holding the shift key and down or right arrow. Then press Alt + e i s and then a dialogue box would come and in that step value 1 would appear; if you want the common difference as 1, then press the enter key there itself. If you want the common difference as 2 or 3 or 4 or 5........ just type the desired common difference in step value and press the enter key. If you have kept the common difference as 3, then the series that you would get as 1, 4, 7...... This is an arithmetic series with initial value as 1 and with common difference 3.
