vlookup has four arguments. 1. first argument you have to give which column you have to use for searching similar value in other database. 2. second argument is the row and column range of the destination data sheet in excel. 3. third argument is after finding the exact match, what related record you have to display from that match. for example, himanshu is the name you have found a match in another database. then you have to display himanshu's mark in a particular subject which may be in third position from your name. 4. give false.
