Agreed! Any revolution brings with it pain, but in the long run it will be a
major gain. By the time students reach their Post Graduate level, they will be
on top of the technology. Their ability to fit into the professional World will
be that much better. No more stories of scribes backing out at the last minute
or no more cases where the blind student gets a watchman to write for him or
someone is forced to compromise with a scribe who is several years junior. Also
the aligation that scribes are actually writing the exams will also end. Good
initiative. There will be challenges and teething problems but they will get
sorted out. The step is bold to help generate a new generation of employable
skilled blind professionals. Technology in no way stops the use of Braille.
Braille refreshing and Braille print outs can be taken for personal reading and
studies. Regular printouts can be taken when submitting assignments and answers
sheets.
