Nicest opinions, indeed, especially of Payal's & many other's on the subject.
In fact, many more things do I learn today on the subject from this discussion.

& I have only one more thing to add on. We do not have to feel inferior for
what we are not able to do somehow. 'Nobody can make u feel inferior without
ur consent' they say & as such nothing of the kind exists but for our feelings.

I understand use of cutlery is essential part of social life today & I am sure
we all can manage it with a little practice. I well remember the incidence at
my in-laws one day when a kid directly said upfront: 'Uncle, are you Bihari?'
& we all know what this expression means almost all over India.

Today in most social gatherings we often have hold the plate on one hand &
eating standing over using such tools which really makes things very difficult.
However, special arrangements could not be made everywhere for a special
person like VI. & even if it is made we cannot save face for claiming to
integrate ourselves with rest of the world at large. So having 4 types of
vegetables, 2 daals, curd, salad, papad, 3 type chapatis, rice, etc. well piled
up in a single plate, where the need to identify their respective places? &
isn't the idea rightly aligned up with all things finally getting messed up in
a single leather bag? Of course, the ancient idea of slow good eating has
dynamically changed in a social gathering to quick, fast, most eating & most
wasting. So eating is advisable some by cutlery, a bit by hand & come out
clean without have to say 'no, it wasn't tasty'. So Imran, whether you eat by
hand or with a cutlery; matters not much. We should take care to save our
dresses & keep our identity intact with a bold face with other social norms
like looking neat & clean.
