you can use fine reader to convert pdf document in accessible format. If you are using either jaws 2018 or 19, just select the desired pdf file & cclick on "Recognize with Jaws" option. Wait for a few seconds. now, you can read the document with the jaws easily. you can use another method as well, if you are using Jaws 17 or higher. Open the desired pdf file and use Insert+ Spacebar, followed by o letter & D letter respectively. Wait for a few minute, if the document is big or a few second in case of small document. once the text is fully recognized by the Jaws, you can select the hole document by using Control+S and paste the matter in word document. & save the file.
Next time, you can use the word file to read the text.

Subject: [AI] Need some information about OCR in PDF

Greetings to all!
I need to regularly scan printed material for my daughter. I use various
ways like Google lense, knfb reader, scanning etc., for the purpose.

I actually need to know what OCR in PDF means and how is it related to
making the PDFs accessible.

Please guide me in detail about this.

Thanks & regards,
Kanchan Jain
