Rahul-Metro assistance is dam good here. Just keep little extra time at hand
for places like CP.

For house hunting-availability of lift, parking, possibility of cabs coming at
the main gate (if the house is in a lain) and distance from metro along with
mode of travel from your house like rickshaws.

Uber is extremely unreliable here, dirty cabs, 90% ACs nonfunctional, and so
on. Have your own vehicle if you want to use private transport.
