The UDID card is an attempt of the Govt. to issue a Disability ID that would be recognized and used across the country. The card we receive in the mail I believe is not valid. Strange as it sounds, only the plastic card dispatched by the Govt. appears to be valid. While there are problems right from the application stage, what is difficult to comprehend is the inordinate delay after the card is dispatched to the PWD.
