You can ask your bank to complete verification of your thumb impression. Fill out your details, put your thumb impression and request your branch manager to verify. It will take 1 to 2 days. I did face similar issue while investing in to Equity linked savings scheme. This process has to be completed only once in a life time. After that you can invest online.
