Mahesh, I have signed up with both HDFC Mutual Fund and SBI Mutual Fund using online KYC without uploading any signature. I don't remember but HDFC may allow you to invest on other funds too and not just HDFC (again, I don't remember as I am not doing Mutual fund SIP with them) while on SBI MF, you can only transact with funds offered by SBI.
