Hi. I did try PhonePe as well. They also need you to sign on the screen as part of the online KYC process. Thumb Impression does not get registered, and if you just sign randumly, they would say signature not verified and KYC not processed. Incidentally, I had invested on an HDFC fund on PhonePe.
