-- Sincerely, Mujtaba Merchant Bangalore | INDIA Sent from my iPhone ® Hey, Glad to see this thread. If Microsoft were serious about Narrator, the NVDA project would not have been born in the first place. I have been working in the private sector in India for the last 7 years as an AI engineer. I have worked with two multinational corporations and an early stage start-up. All of them have allowed me to use NVDA as my screen reader. I had to raise a request to undergo a software audit for NVDA because it is an open source software. In my current company I am only using NVDA. I have not even requested for JAWS. They are happy with that because of avoiding such a huge sum on a very specialized software license. Also NVDA has saved me in the start-up because they cannot afford JAWS. I consciously avoid buying a JAWS license because I do not want to give the impression that employing a visually impaired candidate is very expensive. So that I can easily emphasise on disability hiring without making it a financial burden. This is my personal opinion. I know JAWS might have lots of features. But NVDA served me very well. Thanks for bringing this to the group. On Sat, Mar 22, 2025 at 10:03 PM Yamuna Jivana Dasa <[email protected]> wrote:
