Dear Ummehaani,

I can sense the distress and frustration you're feeling due to the situation
with Mr. Shane Alam and the messages he's been spreading about you and your
organization. It's completely understandable that you'd want to set the record
straight and clarify the circumstances.

Your points about responsibility, technical issues, and the importance of due
diligence are well-taken. It's indeed crucial to approach situations like this
with empathy and understanding, and to consider the context before jumping to
conclusions or making public accusations.

I appreciate your thoughtful and measured response to this situation, and I
hope that the community will take your words to heart. Wishing you all the best
in resolving this matter and continuing your important work with Pearls Of
Vision.

Dear friends & well-wishers,

This is Ummehaani Bagasrawala & I want to respond to a message posted on several Whatsapp
groups by Mr. Shane Alam accusing me & my organisation, Pearls Of Vision of cheating him.
This message is full of falsehoods & seeks to blame others for problems faced by him due to
Microsoft's policies & his own computer issues.

Pearls Of Vision along with Exclusive Tech had conducted a 2-day webinar on Using
Copilot on 14th & 15th May 2025. Mr. Shane Alam was a participant in this
webinar. After the webinar, he reached out to me asking how he could get a
Microsoft Office 365 licence key. I informed him that -
1. I had purchased a Microsoft Office 365 family subscription for my personal use
& out of the 6 licence keys, had one licence key remaining unutilised.
2. The total cost of the 6 key licence was Rs. 7,200/- & if he wanted the
remaining key, it would cost Rs. 1,200/-
3. This transaction would be between him & me on a personal level & neither
Pearls Of Vision nor any of Pearls Of Vision's trustees, volunteers etc. would be
involved.
4. Under Microsoft's policy, only the main licence holder would receive Copilot integrated
with Microsoft Office products & would be eligible for AI credits. The other licence
users could access Copilot from the Start menu & would have to copy & paste the
results into Word, Powerpoint etc.

Mr. Shane Alam agreed to the above conditions & took the licence key from me
after paying Rs. 1,200/-

In July 2025, I was involved with a medical emergency in my family & had taken leave from
Pearls Of Vision to handle the family crisis. During this period, I was often unable to respond
to calls/ messages. At that time, Mr. Shane Alam started facing some problems with his
Microsoft Office version & started calling me. I informed him that I was presently in the
hospital with a family member & could not reply. After that there was no further
communication from his end & I assumed that his problem had been resolved.

Yesterday, without any further communication since July 2025, Mr. Shane Alam posted the
defamatory message on various groups accusing me of cheating him & dragging Pearls Of
Vision into the matter. I contacted him yesterday after the message was posted to ask the
reason for it & he refused to give a proper reply. I also informed him that if he felt
that I had cheated him, I would refund his money. He claimed to have recorded our
conversation & anybody who listens to the recording will be able to ascertain the truth
for themselves.

In conclusion, I want to state again that -

1. There was no cheating involved & the Microsoft Office key given to him is
functioning perfectly
2. If he believes that I cheated him, I will return his money & would have done
so earlier if he had asked for it earlier.
3. After refund of his amount, I will stop the sharing of the licence key with
him.
4. If Mr. Shane Alam wants a refund, he should send me his bank/ UPI details on
my personal number which he has. Dear friends,

Please find my response to the message being spread. Kindly ignore my email
that was accidentally sent last night.
I’m pasting the corrected email.
