Dear Turab,

Thank you for the update. While I appreciate the progress with Zomato and the
legal efforts regarding Swiggy, I have personally decided to stop using those
platforms and move entirely to the TAN application.

After years of individual advocacy, I found Swiggy’s public claims of
"inclusivity" on platforms like LinkedIn and Medium to be performative and
dismissive of our actual lived experiences. I am now focused on supporting
solutions that truly prioritize us. I am currently transferring my addresses to
TAN and have already shared a feature suggestion with Sunil to make this
transition easier for others in the next update.

That said, I do still rely on Blinkit for essentials. Their accessibility has
improved significantly, allowing for a seamless search and checkout process.

I urge the community to "jump on the bandwagon" and support community-led
innovations like TAN. If we want sustainable, accessible experiences, we must
support the businesses that genuinely value our needs.

Best wishes to Mission Accessibility for their high-impact endeavors this year.

Hello Mujtaba

Thanks for appreciation and insightful comments as always.

I completely agree with you that, apart from getting companies and service
providers to make their offerings inclusive, it is imperative for the community
to also find their own solutions.

TAN is an excellent example of this, and Kudos to Mr. Sunil and his team.

Regarding your specific concerns with Swiggy and Zomato, I am happy to report
some progress.

Due to Amar’s persistent efforts, Zomato has indeed become quite accessible,
and Zomato and Blinkit both are working rigourously towards this end and
seeking regular feedback.Outlook <https://aka.ms/o0ukef>

Please try both of them and let us know if there are any challenges.

Regarding Swiggy, we had filed a case in Delhi High Court and are hopeful that
something positive will come out. <https://aka.ms/o0ukef> for iOS

Dear Mission Accessibility Team and fellow members,

Thank you for this initiative. It is heartening to see funds being directed
toward high-impact issues that truly move the needle for our community.

While there are many outstanding accessibility hurdles, I believe we must
prioritize issues that lack existing workarounds. In that light, I no longer
consider the accessibility challenges with Swiggy and Zomato on iOS to be a
priority for this specific fund. Thanks to Sunil and his team, we now have the
TAN application, which brilliantly bridges the gap by providing an accessible
interface for these services. Kudos to Sunil’s team for this implementation—it
is a testament to what community-led development can achieve.

I have two points to share with the community regarding this:

1. Feedback for the TAN App: To further improve the utility of the application,
I suggest looking into increasing the list of restaurants and food outlets
beyond those currently listed under the ONDC circle.

2. A Sincere Request to the Community: Although I am in no way sponsored by the
developers or the business, I urge everyone to "jump on the bandwagon" and use
this application. If we want to continue having accessible experiences and
sustain such developments, we must support the businesses that prioritize our
needs.

I wish Mission Accessibility the very best in their endeavor to identify and
tackle the 3-4 high-impact issues for the coming year.

Hi all. Thanks again to those who supported us as part of our year-end donation
campaign. We would like to deploy the funds that we have raised on 3-4 high
impact issues that affect the PwD community at large. This will predominantly
be through strategic litigation and, wherever the possibility of pursuing
policy reforms without resorting to courts exists, that will be preferred. We
therefore invite your suggestions on the issues/causes that we should be taking
up. After we receive a good number of inputs, we'll run a poll and then
identify the 3-4 issues we'll be working on this year through the funding we
have gotten. please share your suggestions, if any, on this forum latest by
15th January, 2026. Thank you.
