My name is **Tirupati Janardhan Gaikwad**, I would like to share an important announcement from Orbit Research regarding the latest software update for the Orbit Player. `Orbit Research has officially released **Orbit Player Software Version 2.2**. This update brings several useful improvements, especially for users in the United States, along with an updated user guide. ### What's New in Version 2.2 * Added support for the **NLS BARD Mobile** app for Android (available for eligible users in the United States). * Introduced a new **App Catalog** application to install the BARD Mobile app. * Improved the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings screens, making them easier to navigate with the Orbit Player keypad. * Various usability improvements and bug fixes. ### Important Note This update is **only for Orbit Player devices already running Software Version 2.0**. If your device is still running a **1.x version**, please upgrade to Version 2.0 first. Do **not** install Version 2.2 directly on devices running Version 1.x. ### Known Issues * Google Voice Manager may display multiple voice packs with the same name but different file sizes. * Google voices may take up to 10 seconds to begin speaking after they are selected. ### Updating Your Orbit Player If your Orbit Player is connected to Wi-Fi, you can update it by following these steps: **Home Screen → Utilities → Check for Updates → Check for Updates Now** If Version 2.2 is available, the device will automatically download and install the update. Orbit Research has also published an updated **Orbit Player User Guide**, which explains all the new features, including how to use the NLS BARD Mobile app. I hope this information is helpful to Orbit Player users in the Access India community.
