hello all at accessindia and a very warm regards. i've been lately busy in my college life hence, havent been able to review programs, websites etc.
but while thinking about the concept of accessindia convention last night, which is basically a platform for all to come together, meet others in person, share there knowledge and experiences in there own field from a blindness prospective, i thought of many peoples are there who cant attend the convention due to many different obstacles. to over come this, i think, we should host a monthly voice conference, where peoples can use their internet connectivity, a software, and can talk to others in live, and share their knowledge. since most of us have been pretty familiar with such a software, called, skype, same software can be used to satisfy this purpose please look at. http://skypecast.skype.com ( the page takes some time to load, since it keeps the records of currently active skype casts, give it some time to open and then review) the concept of a skype cast, is to be able to host a online voice conference, in which maximum of 100 users can join at a time and can talk to each other. the biggest advantage of skypecast over other voice conferencing softwares is, that, skype cast is hosted on skype server. which means, the person who is hosting the conference need not to spend his bandwidth to keep all participants connected, and this way, users having slow internet connection will have equal opportunity to be able to join the convo. also, the moderator ( the person hosting the skype cast also have the option to mute certain participant or, all participants while makeing special announcements i, however, havent got an opportunity how these special features of skype cast can be accessed with jaws or other screen reading softwares, and will try that too shortly as soon as i get sufficient time. i'd like to request harish sir ( the moderator ) to look into it, and if every thing goes fine, we can set a time convenient for most of accessindians, and can at least be able to unite peoples from different places once a month to share there thoughts, reviews, and experiences. the agenda of such conferences could be pree decided, so the users attending the convo will have the idea of about what are we going to talk however, it is still an idea, and dont consider anything fixed yet. the review in this subject from all of you is highly appreciated, and the moderator's say will be taken as final words on this suggestion please, review http://skypecast.skype.com for further details. thanking all of you, with regards, ruchir. msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- As long as forever, I will stay by your side, I'll be your companion, Your friend and your guide!!!
