Try this out --Sudhir and Sudha. If you don't bother to read the spelling, both the names sound almost the same. In fact, (I request R. Sudhir only to laugh while reading this and not to take any offence) I was under the impression that Sudhir, our revered member from Kerala, was a female, that, until I spoke to him one day by phone!!! Identifying genders, except in some obvious cases, is one of the difficulties I have been facing even as I complete five years as an Access Indian. Trust me, this is certainly not one of the nicest things to ask an individual.
