I also want to stop all this. It is my pleasure to respond to a mail from
you. I am not highly educated but here is my understanding of the subject. I
am adding my comments at appropriate places.
I am pretty aware, the intend of the question is not as innocent as you
have put it.
* It is not a question of ethics. What I said was "is it appropriate to
send a link to such a huge collection of books?" Individual articles or
citations are OK but I felt it is not necessary to send those books to all
members.
I see another storm bruing, nefvertheless, I shall have it across.

Let me put it straight, I can put a stop for putting link of all ebooks on
the list.
It is in your sole discretion. I feel it is not necessary to share books
on-list. Members may contact providers of the books directly.
I have long completed my accademic persuit and I can merrily discuss on
big topic of IPR etc I may sound big doing that. The point is what have I
gained and lost by raising this boggie.

doesn't it look one-sided? I heard some people say VI people lack
comprehension as they can't see and understand the world around them

So, would you like the blind persons to be restricted merely to textbooks
produced by the government?

* Again, it is not a question weather I like this or I like that. I don't
restrict anyone to anything. Anyone can acquire knowledge and I am not
imposing any thing on others.
I am pretty sure the motivation in starting this topic was definately not
pious and innocent and that you are not aware of the ground realities.
* I don't claim that the motivation behind starting this topic is pious and
innocent. Coming to realities, there may be some discrepancy between laws
and realities. But can we take it for granted?
We certainly can afford not to have such intelectualls at this table.

I have heard a word of wisdom which ran like this: We are blessed if we
can restrain ourselves from doing harm to others even though we did no
good deeds to anyone else.

I am sorry friends, we are moving from one controversy to another of late.
It is just becoming a talking shop and producing little output.
I am not closing the thread, however, I am requesting all members not to
carry on this thread and allow this discussion to die its natural death.

I didn't bother about copyright issue. I was curious how you got so many
books. Though I am not a student of history or pol science, I have
downloaded them for others.

users try to download from it. So when the maximum limit of the server
is reached, we receive the full capacity message. Just wait for the 60
seconds and retry. You will get the download going after two or three
retries.
