Dear friends, I have been following the discussion on why the info relating to disability was not disclosed after the census. While going through an article of "The Hindu", I came across the following line by Dr. Chandramouli.
“Provisional population is arrived at by adding the population as reported by each enumerator, and the final population data is likely to be released next year,” Dr. Chandramouli told journalists. This coincides with what Srinivasu has got to know from an employee in the concerned department. Besides, apart from gender wise and region wise statistics, no other info has been provided till now. So, it may take sometime to come up with specific details like caste, religion ,, income, and, may be disability. But can someone clarify the above statement? Honestly, I didn't understand what Dr. Chandramouli meant by provisional data and final data. -- G.
